Hello Gentle Readers! Happy Monday!
Today I want to talk about achievements and what I mean by that. By now, we should all have our goals and know what it takes to get to them. When we get to that point we call it an achievement. When you achieve something, you usually get something for it right?
You graduate high school - you get a diploma
You get a promotion at work - you get more money
Just to give you an idea of what I'm talking about.
Yes, you with your hand up?
"How should we award our achievements when it comes to a healthier lifestyle and m9ore exercise?"
Great question and I hope this answer will help you determine what is right for you.
I can't tell you what your reward for your achievement should be, but, I can tell you that it should be in line with the achievement. Let's take this as an example...You set a goal to lose 5 pounds. You achieve this goal, what should you get for your achievement (yes, losing 5 pounds is an achievement)? A trip to the Bahama's right? Wrong. It should be something small, something that makes sense.
That said, it should not be food. That is a horrible way to reward yourself for losing weight.
Find something that makes sense. Ideas? If your goal is 5 pounds, maybe a movie or a date to go bowling. Let's say you do this and you lose 100 pounds or 200 pounds, then what? Well, personally, I am working towards a new tattoo, something that will be a constant reminder of what I have achieved. When I make 200 pounds lost I will be receiving a very expensive tattoo. It will remind me forever what I did to get this and remind me forever why I never want to go through it again.
I don't regret anything I've done or have gone through, that said it hasn't been an easy go. I guess what I am trying to say is find a goal and find a reward and work to it. I have faith in you and you must have faith in yourself.
Until next time, Gentle Reader,
Jaxion Rebel
