That special time of year is upon us. VACATION! What does vacation do for us? Do we need them? Are these things good for you?
Vacation does a lot of things for you. You can sleep in, do things when you want, how you want. It's your time to do what you like to do.
Vacations are absolutely needed. They allow you to unwind and not worry about work. We all know that too much work and not enough play make Jaxion a dull boy. Ask anyone who knows me I love to have fun and do what I want, when I want for as long as I want. Yes, I am a very spoiled man. I blame my wife for that. She is great at making sure I get to have my interaction with people, because if I get cut off for too long I get very grumpy. (Hey, you kids get off my lawn!)
Are vacations good for you? Maybe. I think as a whole vacations are bad for your physical being. However, they are so good for your spirit, your piece of mind. I think the good that comes to you spiritually is completely worth the "physical damage" you do over the 5 or 7 or 10 days your on your vacation. That said, there are ways to make the damage you do to your body a lot better then it could be. Sure your going to go out to eat. That said, make better choices. Why do I say better choices rather than good choices? Well, Gentle Reader, the choices you get at just about any restaurant is bad for you. Even if they tell you its a "better choice" or a "healthy choice", it's still not a good choice. These items may be better or healthier choices than the rest of the menu, but, they are not good choices.
Well, that is my soapbox for today. In case your missing the idea, yes, I am heading on vacation soon and no I will not feel guilty for what I eat, drink or consume...I will take responsibility for it and work my ass off once vacation is over to lose whatever damage I do to myself on vacation.
